Countries I want to visit

Egypt

The Arab Republic of Egypt is a country in Africa, situated in the extreme northeast, and includes the Sinai Peninsula (which belongs to Asia). Most of its surface is part of the Sahara desert, inhabited only around the oasis. Its capital is Cairo.
One of the most populous countries in Africa, most of which sits on the banks of the Nile

Egypt is famous for its ancient civilization and its monuments, the pyramids and the Great Sphinx, the southern city of Luxor contains numerous ancient artifacts, such as the temple of Karnak and the Valley of the Kings. Today Egypt is an important cultural and political center of the Middle East.

Tourism is a major source of foreign income of Egypt, both by tourists themselves as major investments by international hotel chains. By the nature of tourism, generates a significant number of jobs, which include staff of: Travel Agencies, Hotels, manufacturing and marketing of handicrafts, transport, among others. We can identify three main areas where tourist activity is focused:

-The Sphinx and the pyramid of Kefrén. Cairo and surroundings: the pyramids of Giza, along with the Great Sphinx (on the outskirts of the city) are the main attractions, complemented with the treasures of Cairo Museum that exhibits the treasure of Tutankhamen, and the Khan el-Khalili bazaar (Khan el Khalili).
-The South: with Luxor, Karnak, the Valley of the Kings, Abu Simbel and other archaeological treasures, as well as cruises on the Nile

The necropolis of Giza is the largest of ancient Egypt, with burials dating from the early dynasties. It reached its glory during the fourth dynasty, when erected the pyramid of Khufu (Cheops), also known as the Great Pyramid, the Pyramid of Khafre (Chephren) and the relatively small pyramid of Menkaure (Mycerinus), along with several other subsidiaries minor funerary temples, Valley temple, piers, roads and dug trenches processional sunbarks containing ceremonial also carved into the rock of the plateau the Great Sphinx of Giza.

Guiza.Asociados these royal monuments are numerous mastabas of members of the royal family, others granted by Pharaoh officials and priests, and some monuments of later times associated with ancestor worship.

The Pyramid of Khafre (Chephren) seems the highest, but because it was built on higher ground of the Giza plateau, in which reality is ascribed to Khufu (Cheops) of greater height and volume. The Great Pyramid was considered in antiquity one of the Seven Wonders of the World, and is the only one of the seven that still exist.

The Great Sphinx of Giza is a monumental sculpture located on the west bank of the Nile River in the city of Giza, about twenty miles southwest of downtown Cairo. Egyptologists believe it was sculpted c. XXVI century. C., forming part of the funerary complex of King during the fourth dynasty of Egypt.

The locals called it Abu el-Hol "Father of Terror" corruption of the Coptic expression bel-hit, which applies to anyone who expresses intelligence eyes and translates the name Egyptian human or ju, which means the guardian or caretaker .

The Great Sphinx was done carving a limestone hill situated on the Giza plateau. It has a height of twenty meters, measuring the face more than five meters. The head may represent the pharaoh Khafre, the body having the shape of a lion. In ancient times it was painted in bright colors: red body and face, and head covering nemes striped yellow and blue. Its approximate dimensions are 57 meters long and 20 meters high.
