Easter Holiday

The Easter holidays are a wonderful time to watch processions in all parts of the country. This time of reflection is dominated by the Crucifixion and Resurection of Christ.

The week leading up to Easter Sunday is also a time for vacations throughout the country. Schools are closed, many businesses close the entire week and everybody shuts down Holy Thursday (Maundy Thursday) and Good Friday.

Until a few years ago, there was no vehicle traffic of any kind on Holy Thursday and Good Friday in Costa Rica.

Traditional Food
Our family meets and lunch during the entire Easter together.
It's traditional at Easter is cooked rice with milk, honey chiverre, coconut honey, the famous potato salad and seafood are always present at the table.

At  the afternoon with coffee, my mom does chiverre pies mmm I like it!!!
